‘The Falling Stars’ is my writing blog; a safe space for me to share my thoughts and ideas with the world. I hope you'll find something here that touches your heart and makes you feel understood. This blog is called 'The Falling Stars' because I feel writing comes to me like a sudden star falling from the sky in a fire of emotion - it is there for an instant, but it leaves behind a mark; a feeling that remains forever, in the space between and within words.
Hey, I’m Tanisha, and I’m glad to find you here! I’m a literature student, who lives for the stories, poems and lyrics that surround each of us every day. These aren’t words hidden away in dusty old books, but rather these are words that surround us every second of our existence. When we give a heartbroken friend a message of hope, it is a poem written just for them, as an emissary of hope; when we tell a child how the world works, we are telling them a story about how one can perceive this insanely complex, yet simple world; and when we listen to a song that all of a sudden takes us back to our childhood, these lyrical words are the lost travellers of time, who’ve come to take us back to the memories we almost forgot about. This blog is a collage of all of the times I managed to give words to my thoughts, and I hope that you’ll find something worthwhile here.
